Liberon Waxes & Furniture Polish

Liberon furniture waxes and polishes are ideal for nourishing, protecting and enhancing wooden furniture. The range includes the popular Wax Polish Black Bison, Liquid Wax Polish Black Bison, Beeswax, Liming Wax, Black Patinating Wax and Verdigris Wax.

Liberon Wood Oils

Our Liberon wood oil range includes Superior Danish Oil, Finishing Oil, Pure Tung Oil, Teak Oil and Boiled Linseed Oil.

Liberon French Polish

Our Liberon French Polish range is designed for traditional furniture restoration and high-quality shellac finishes. Products include Black Polish, Button Polish, Garnet Polish, Special Pale French Polish and Easy French Polish.

French polishing is particularly associated with antique furniture restoration and produces a highly polished finish built up through multiple layers. Different Liberon French polishes can be selected according to the colour and appearance required.

For example, Button Polish produces a warm golden-brown finish, while Special Pale French Polish is suited to lighter woods where maintaining the natural colour is important.

Liberon Wood Dyes

Liberon wood dyes are available in both water-based and spirit-based formulations. Palette Wood Dye is a water-based dye for interior woodwork, while Spirit Wood Dye is an alcohol-based dye suitable for colouring a range of timber.

Wood dyes can be used to change or enhance the colour of bare timber before applying a suitable wax, oil, varnish or other finish. A wide selection of wood shades is available, including oak, mahogany, walnut, teak, ebony and pine tones.

Liberon Wood Repair & Preparation

Liberon also offers a comprehensive range of products for preparing and repairing wood before finishing. These include Wood Filler, Wax Filler Sticks, Shellac Filler Sticks, Laminate Repair Sticks, 3 Part Touch-Up Pens, Fine Wood Stripper, Wood Bleacher, Ring Remover and Burnishing Cream.

Which Liberon French Polish should I use?

Can Liberon wood dye be used before waxing?

Does Liberon make wood repair products?

Yes. Liberon produces several repair products, including Wood Filler, Wax Filler Sticks, Shellac Filler Sticks, Laminate Repair Sticks and 3 Part Touch-Up Pens for different types of wood damage and restoration work.

Does Liberon still offer antiquing fluid tourmaline for Metal?

Liberon antiquing fluid tourmaline was discontinued some time ago but Priory polishes offer their own product that does the exact same thing. Priory polishes antiquing fluid tourmaline comes in a black or brown version, ideal for colouring metals such as Brass, Copper and some Steel (see the product description for the most suitable). For other metals you can try to use Liberon Iron Paste or Verdigris wax depending on the type of finish you are looking for. 

What Liberon Products can be used to lighten wood?

Liberon wood bleacher is ideal for this. This wood bleach will not only lighten the timber but also can be used to remove dark stains caused by rust, alcohol, damp or ink. It will only work on bare untreated wood and once you are happy with the results, you need to seal the wood with a suitable finish like a their finishing oil or fine paste wax.

Does Liberon offer a white wax?

Yes, Liberon does offer a white wax that you can use to create a limed wash effect. We offer everything you need to do this including Liberon liming wax, liming brush, steel wool 0000 to apply and Liberon wax polish black bison clear to seal and protect. Do you supply Liberon Spirit Sanding Sealer

Liberon Sanding Sealer is no longer available but we do have a good alternative. Priory Polishes Shellac Sanding Sealer quickly prepares the surface of bare wood and MDF prior to wax finishing. It will seal the wood so that less wax is needed and its special lubricants will ease sanding.
