Description

Liberon Floor Sealer is a natural, oil-based finish designed for wood and parquet floors. It enhances the natural colour of new and old timber while helping protect the surface against everyday stains and scratches.

Floor Sealer can be used on its own to achieve a satin to gloss finish or as a base before applying Liberon Floor Wax or a suitable floor varnish. It is also suitable for sealing unvarnished cork floors. This oil-based floor finish enhances the natural colour of the timber and provides resistance against water, heat and alcohol.

Benefits of Liberon Floor Sealer

  • Oil-based sealer for wood and parquet floors
  • Enhances the natural colour of new and old timber
  • Helps protect against stains and scratching
  • Water, heat and alcohol resistant
  • Can be used alone for a satin to gloss finish
  • Ideal before applying Liberon Floor Wax or floor varnish
  • Suitable for sealing unvarnished cork surfaces

How to Use Liberon Floor Sealer

  1. Sand the floor if required and remove all previous finishes.
  2. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust.
  3. If colouring the wood, apply Liberon Palette Wood Dye first and allow it to dry for at least 8 hours.
  4. Shake the container well before use.
  5. Apply a reasonable coat using a brush, roller or cloth.
  6. Allow the oil to penetrate for 5–10 minutes.
  7. Remove any excess with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
  8. Apply a minimum of 3 coats, allowing approximately 5 hours between coats.
  9. For porous surfaces or a higher level of finish, additional coats may be required.
  10. If applying Liberon Floor Wax or floor varnish afterwards, allow the final coat of Floor Sealer to harden for 24 hours first.

Coverage: 1 litre covers approximately 10–12m².

Cleaning and Maintenance

Sweep or vacuum the floor regularly and clean with a damp cloth. Wipe up spills as soon as possible.

For stubborn marks, use a mild detergent or lightly sand the affected area before reapplying Liberon Floor Sealer.

When used as the final finish, floors may need to be re-sealed periodically, particularly in areas with high foot traffic.

Please Note

Oil finishes can enhance and deepen the natural colour of timber. A wet surface can give an indication of the final appearance, so always test the product on a spare piece or inconspicuous area before treating the entire floor.

Allow wood dyes to dry for at least 8 hours before applying Floor Sealer.

Do not use on vinyl or similar floor coverings. The product may also affect bitumen-based adhesives.

Important: Oily cloths and other materials used with this product can self-combust. Wet used cloths or tools with water and dispose of them safely in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Flammable. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of reach of children and use only in a well-ventilated area.
