Brummer Stopping Wood Filler is for use on interior and exterior projects and is available in a wide range of shades helping with restoration and colour matching. It is ideal for repairing furniture, doors, skirting boards, wooden floors, picture frames, mouldings and much more. This new formula is also weather resistant so ideal for exterior repairs on wood decking, exterior doors and windows along with garden furniture. Brummer Wood Filler is quick drying, versatile, durable and can be used under nearly all types of decorative finish including polish, lacquer, varnish and paint. Brummer wood filler can be drilled and sanded just like wood itself, or stained with a suitable wood stain to achieve any desired shade.
How to use Brummer Stopping Wood Filler
- The wood must be clean, dry and free of all traces of oil, grease and dust.
- Provide a key with medium grade sanding paper or similar to smooth surfaces.
- Using a suitable filling knife, work the filler into the wood leaving it slightly proud for sanding.
- Deeper holes should be built up allowing at least 2 hours to dry between layers.
- Once fully dry, sand to a smooth flat finish.
- The filler can now be painted, stained or varnished.
Please Note
- Always try a small inconspicuous area first as the filler may stain / varnish darker on the area filled.
- Cleaning: Clean tools in water immediately after use.
- Storage: Store in a cool dry place with the lid tightly closed. Protect from frost.

What is Brummer wood filler drying time?
On average brummer coloured wood filler takes around 30 minutes to 1 hour to dry depending on the temperature and humidity, although it is usually best to leave for around 24 hours before adding a varnish or paint finish.
