Description

Liberon Garden Furniture Oil is an exterior wood oil designed to feed, seal and protect wooden garden furniture while enhancing the natural colour and appearance of the timber.

The clear formulation contains UV filters to help reduce fading caused by sunlight and penetrates into the wood to provide longer-term protection. It leaves a dry, non-tacky finish and is ideal for maintaining both new and previously treated outdoor wooden furniture.

How to Use Liberon Garden Furniture Oil

Prepare the Surface

Ensure the timber is clean, dry and free from varnish, paint, lacquer or other previous finishes. Existing finishes should be completely removed before applying the oil.

For dirty or weathered garden furniture, use Liberon Garden Furniture Cleaner to remove surface grime before oiling. Allow the timber to dry thoroughly before applying Garden Furniture Oil.

Apply the Garden Furniture Oil

1. Shake the tin thoroughly before use.
2. Apply the oil with a brush or lint-free cotton cloth.
3. Allow the oil to penetrate for up to 20 minutes.
4. Wipe away any excess oil with a clean, lint-free cloth.
5. Allow to dry for a minimum of 24 hours before applying another coat.
6. Apply a minimum of 3 coats, allowing 24 hours between coats. More coats may be required on particularly exposed furniture.
7. Allow the final coat to dry for at least 24 hours before using the furniture.

Cleaning & Maintenance

For continued protection, exterior timber should be re-oiled once or twice a year as part of routine maintenance. Furniture exposed to particularly harsh weather conditions may require more frequent maintenance.

Before re-oiling, clean surface dirt and grime with Liberon Garden Furniture Cleaner and allow the timber to dry thoroughly.

Please Note

Garden Furniture Oil is not suitable for lacquered, varnished or painted surfaces. The timber should be taken back to a clean, bare surface before oiling.

Oil finishes enhance the natural colour of timber. The appearance of the wet wood gives an indication of the final colour, so always test the product first on a spare piece of timber or an inconspicuous area to check the colour, compatibility and final result.

Store the product above 5°C and keep the lid securely replaced when not in use.

Important: Cloths and other materials contaminated with oil can pose a risk of self-combustion. Do not leave oil-soaked cloths in bundles. Wet contaminated textiles or tools with water and dispose of them in a tightly closed container.

Warning: Liberon Garden Furniture Oil is a flammable liquid and vapour. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of reach of children and use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

• Keep away from heat, sparks, flames and other ignition sources.
• Wear suitable protective gloves when applying.
• Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
• Do not empty product or residues into drains or waterways.
• If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice immediately and show the product label.
• Dispose of contents and container in accordance with local waste requirements.
