Here is a quick video of me using Annie Sloan Transfer Leaf and Annie Sloan Loose Leaf! 🎨
To do this I first applied Gold Size to the board with a small flat brush. The glue will first appear white, then a purplish-blue, then finally clear. This will take about 10-15 minutes to dry! 🖌️
I then created a tree design using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in the shade ‘Athenian Black’ using cardboard and newspaper! 👩🏼‍🎨

We will be now hosting Annie Sloan Workshops in our unit in Clitheroe, Lancashire 📍. These will be hosted with Rebecca at @raw_furniture_

💚 ANNIE SLOAN BASIC & INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP 🖌️- Wednesday 13th December 2023, 10am - 1pm 💚

This workshop is ideal for anyone who would like to know basic and intermediate techniques and skills in using Annie’s Chalk Paint and Waxes.

On the 3 hour course, we will firstly talk to you about the environmental benefits of painting furniture and then discuss how preparation and inspiration is key to creating the perfect finished painted piece. Next, we will experiment on a sample board with paint layering, brush techniques, colour combinations, texture, stencilling, and frottage. We will then complete the boards by distressing with different grade sandpapers and then seal the paint with clear wax and use dark brown, black and white wax, to create lovely aged patinas and to enhance textures.
By the end of the class, you will go away with the knowledge and confidence to start your own painted piece at home, as well as understanding how up-cycling is great for a more sustainable world.

Some amazing feedback from a recent customer who ordered our Osmo Natural Oil Wood Stain in the colour - (Matt) '900 White'

Just back from france and although the sanding/ scraping away of the old whitewash and varnish, which had become like glue on the edges of the tables and benches, was endless and painful, the application of the white osmo exterior oil was a thing of joy! It needed slightly longer to try between coats than recommended but was great to use and I can't wait to see if it makes that difference next year when guests wearing suntan cream sit down! Thank you again for the help. A re-order has just been placed - I'm sure I'll find something else to use it on!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing finish but only if you follow the rules…

This looks amazing both on our sanded pine floors and used on an oak chest of drawers. It cures to a rock-hard, matte sheen and is a nightmare to sand back off, so I guess it’s pretty hard-wearing. HOWEVER - it contains a bit of white pigment to give its natural look so it is totally unforgiving if applied a bit thicker, or if any brush marks, or pools within dips. This is also more obvious on darker bits of the wood. We first applied to part of our floor using a brush and it was far too thick, and most of it needed sanded back. You therefore should apply very thinly. Use a microfibre cloth, and coat the wood fully but leave no streaks. After 18-24 hours, sand very lightly by hand using fine sandpaper. Wipe away dust, and re-coat thinly again using the cloth. To finish, give the lightest of sands using a fine sandpaper after at least another 18 hours, just to smooth. Or you can use a non-scratch dish scourer. And I guarantee you’ll be happy. Coverage is better than advertised. 2.5 litres did us two coats of about 40 square metres, freshly sanded pine. - J. P. It's Remembrance Sunday and to reminisce here are some amazing before and after pictures of the memorial plaque at Stagecoach commemorating those lost in the great war. They used our Toumaline to keep the plaque aged.

My client contacted me and asked if I could re-paint her yellow chest of drawers, as the piece no longer compliments the colours in her room. She likes Annie Sloan Rodmell, which is a dusty damson purple colour and matches her room perfectly. So I purchased a tin from my local stockists Priory Polishes in Clitheroe.
I will start by sanding and cleaning the drawers and remove some of the layers of paint. Annie Sloan Chalk Paint goes on almost all surfaces, including previously painted pieces, so I don’t need to remove all the paint. Then I will seal the piece with varnish.
