Rustins Quick Dry MDF Sealer – 500ml

Description

Rustins Quick Drying MDF Sealer is a water-based acrylic emulsion, which dries to a clear film. This is perfect for both Interior and exterior use on all grades of MDF. It is Quick drying, Low odour & has excellent sealing properties. May also be used on wood as a sealer, which sands easily. Conforms to Safety of Toys Regulations BS EN 71 Part 3 1995. It works with all types of paints, undercoats and varnishes and can be applied over the sealer such as Rustin’s Quick Dry Varnish, Polyurethane Varnishes, Plastic Coating, Rustins Floor Finishes, White Undercoat or White Gloss Paint.

How to use Rustins Quick Drying MDF Sealer

1. The surface must be clean, dry, and free from contaminants. The colour of bare MDF may be
   changed using Wood stain before sealing. Routed areas and edges may be sealed before dyeing.
2. Stir well before use.
3. For application to bare MDF, or wood. Apply liberally and evenly with a synthetic fibre brush, pad or sponge.
4.  One coat is usually sufficient, edges or routed areas may require a second coat.
5. Touch dry within 30 minutes depending on temperature and humidity.
6. Allow 2 hours before painting or varnishing.
7. Clean brushes immediately after use with water, hard brushes may be cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer.

Please note
The application temperature is ideally 15-25°C, do not use below 10°C or in conditions of high humidity.
Coverage is approx. 12sq.m per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.
Store in original, tightly closed container in normal conditions not below 5°C. Protect from frost.

Hazards
Non-flammable. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Keep out of reach of children.
