Description
Rustins Raw Linseed Oil is a natural oil used for lubrication in French polishing. It is also ideal for oiling cricket bats, adding to paint and softening metal glazing putty.
How to use Rustins Raw Linseed Oil
- Ensure surface to be oiled is clean and dry.
- Apply with a rag or brush and wipe off excess.
- Apply coats as required.

Please note
Not suitable for oiling furniture or wooden floors. For furniture use Rustins Danish Oil or Teak Oil.
Application Temperature is ideally between 15-25°C. Do not use below 15°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Approximate coverage 13-15 square metre per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the wood.
Refer to manufacturer before mixing with other oils or varnishes.
Clean brushes with White Spirit or Rustin’s Brush Cleaner.
Always test in a small inconspicuous area first to ensure you are happy with the results.
Always wear protective gloves when using this product.
Health and Safety
Low Hazard. Rags used for oiling should be laid out flat to dry; otherwise they may catch fire due to spontaneous combustion.
