Description

Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil is made from a blend of natural oils & resins offering a transparent satin finish with exceptional durability and resistance. This is ideal for use on all external joinery and woodwork projects as it produces a clear, quick-drying, water repellent & weather-resistant finish that will not peel or flake. It has the added benefit of containing UV filters and is VOC compliant.

How to use Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil

1. Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any previous finish.
2. Remove any fungal growth, dirt or moss on old wood prior to application and ensure a preservative has been applied.
3. Sand the substrate with a medium 120 grade sanding paper or 120 grit sanding disk, removing all traces of dust.
4. Apply Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil only in dry conditions.
5. Coat thoroughly to seal.
6. No primer required.
7. Stir contents thoroughly before and during use.
8. Apply using a good quality bristle or synthetic brush and lay evenly and thoroughly, following the direction of the grain.
9. Ensure all areas are completely sealed on each application.
10. Leave to dry 4-6 hours or preferably overnight.
11. Sand lightly with fine 320 grade sand paper.
12. Minimum 3 coats recommended but allow to dry between coats.

Please note –

• COVERAGE -A single application will approximately cover 20-24 square meters per litre, depending on the density of the substrate.
• Always test on area prior to application.
• Ensure timber is dry and treated with a preservative prior to application.
• Thoroughly coat all areas to seal. 3 coats minimum.
• Longer drying periods may occur during application in damp or humid conditions.
• To renovate a previous application of Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil, lightly sand area and re-apply.
• Fiddes Exterior High Build Wood Oil is formulated for application directly and does not require thinning.
