Description
Colron Teak Oil is formulated to protect and create a water-resistant finish on exterior and interior hardwoods. Colron Refined Teak Oil dries to a natural Matt / Satin sheen and replaces essential oils necessary to prevent wood from drying, warping and splitting. Colron Teak Oil also contains silicone oil for an increased water repellent finish.
How to use Colron Teak Oil
- Previous coatings such as wax, polish or lacquer should be removed using Colron Wax Remover. Paint or varnish must be removed using a Furniture Stripper prior to application.
- Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry. Lightly sand and wipe with white spirit.
- Shake well prior to use. Ensure surface is clean and dry.
- Apply a thin coat of Colron Refined Teak Oil using a soft, dry, lint free cloth.
- Work the oil lightly into the wood grain and wipe off any surplus oil.
- Apply three coats allowing 24 hours between coats.
- When treating garden furniture, apply liberally (This action may produce a higher sheen).
Please Note –
DRYING TIME – 24 hours between coats.
CLEAN-UP – Cloths and soiled rags may self-ignite without warning. Wash out well in warm soapy water before disposal. Remove as much product as possible from cloths prior to cleaning.
MAINTENANCE – Apply further coats as required as directed above.
For best results apply to bare wood.
Colron Refined Teak Oil should not be applied over waxed finishes.
Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre 1960’s paint surfaces over wood as they may contain harmful lead.
STORAGE – Store upright in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat and sources of ignition. Ensure container is fully resealed after use. Always store in ambient conditions away from temperature extremes. Protect from frost. Store above 50C.
The shelf life of the product in airtight containers will be at least 3 years.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition – NO SMOKING. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable gloves. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners/white spirit. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of reach of children.
