Colron Antique Oil – 500ml

Description

Colron Antique Oil is made from a special blend of resins and tung oil, which produces a hand rubbed soft sheen finish on interior wood. The finish hardens to form a durable protective coating which is easy to maintain and will protect more heavily used wood surfaces. Colron Refined Antique Oil may be applied to previously oiled or stained wood as well as over bare wood. It is not suitable for use over wax, polish, lacquer etc.

How to use Colron Refined Antique Oil

1. Previous coatings such as wax, polish or lacquer should be removed using Colron Wax Remover. Paint or varnish must be removed using a paint and varnish Stripper prior to application.
2. Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry. Lightly sand and wipe with white spirit.
3. Shake well prior to use.
4. Pour a generous amount Of Colron Antique Oil onto a lint free cloth and rub well into the grain of the wood.
5. Leave to dry for 1 hour before buffing the surface with a clean lint free cloth. If buffing is difficult, apply a further thin coat of oil to lubricate the surface and buff immediately.
6. Durability and depth of sheen is increased by adding extra coats.
7. Allow 6 hours between coats.

Please note – 

DRYING TIME – Buff after 1 hour and recoat after 6 hours.

CLEAN-UP – Cloths and soiled rags may self-ignite without warning. Wash out well in warm soapy water before disposal. Remove as much product as possible from cloths prior to cleaning.

MAINTENANCE – Apply further coats as required as directed above.

Refer to instructions on the pack prior to use. For best results apply to bare wood. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre 1960’s paint surfaces over wood as they may contain harmful lead.

STORAGE – Store upright in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat and sources of ignition.

Ensure container is fully resealed after use. Always store in ambient conditions away from temperature extremes. Protect from frost. Store above 50C.

The shelf life of the product in airtight containers will be at least 3 years.

Observe and follow all warnings and instructions for use shown on the pack. Flammable. Keep away from sources of ignition – NO SMOKING. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable gloves. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser. Do not use solvents or thinners/white spirit. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of reach of children. Specific health and safety data sheets are available on request.
