Osmo Intensive Cleaner

Description

Osmo Intensive Cleaner can be used to clean wooden surfaces before treating with Osmo oils, without the need of sanding. This cleaner is a highly effective, lightly alkaline special cleaner for removing organic and inorganic deposits in indoor areas. It is used for intensively cleaning previously oiled and waxed surfaces before treating with Osmo finishes. This is perfect for use on flooring or furniture and also suitable for cleaning plastics, stainless steel and other waterproof surfaces.

How to use Osmo Intensive Cleaner

1. Remove loose debris from the surface with a firm broom or hand broom.
2. Dilute concentrate with water, 1:10 – 1:20.
3. Always test on a small inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility.
4. Apply cleaning solution to the contaminated area, loosen dirt deposits and remove dirt with clear water.
5. For machine applications on flooring, we recommend using a single disc machine (e.g. Osmo FloorXcenter) with a brush ring, a red or green pad. Remove dirt deposits with Osmo Micro-Mop Plush or a lint-free cotton cloth.
6. After drying, re-coat oiled or waxed surfaces with an appropriate Osmo wood finish, e.g. Osmo Polyx Oil.

Please Note 

Do not use undiluted. Osmo Intensive Cleaner may cause discolouration or surface changes on unfamiliar sub-surfaces. Woods rich in extractives (in particular Oak) discolour when coming in contact with undiluted Osmo Intensive Cleaner. Even when diluted, always carry out a trial application. Do not allow the solution to dry. Not suitable for daily cleaning.

Storage – 2 years and longer if stored in the closed original can.

Cleaning of tools – With water

Drying time – Approx. 3-5 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C/50 % rel. humidity). Ventilate well while drying. Lower temperatures and/or higher air humidity may increase drying times.

Coverage – 1 litre covers approx. 30-100 m² with one application, depending on the amount of dirt and stains.

Health and Safety

Contains disodium metasilicate. Causes skin irritation. Causes serious eye damage. Reacts with acids with evolution of heat. Risk of splashing! The general safety regulations when handling chemicals must be observed. Keep out of reach of children. Read label before use. Wear protective gloves/eye protection. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Safety data sheet available on request.

Disposal: Dispose of leftover product and completely emptied packaging according to local official guidelines (waste code number 07 06 01*). Only completely emptied cans can be recycled.
