Ronseal Wet Rot Wood Hardener – 500 ml

Description

Ronseal Wet Rot Wood Hardener soaks into rotten wood and sets to make it hard again, so you don’t need to replace the wood. Once dry your wood will be tough and ready to fill with High Performance Wood Filler. This liquid wood hardener penetrates deep in to rotten wood to strengthen and reinforce. This is suitable for interior and exterior wood, so ideal for doors, window frames, furniture etc. It is a superb alternative to replacing the wood meaning you can have very cost-effective repairs.

How to use Ronseal Wet Rot Wood Hardener

1. Remove any loose or crumbling wood and make sure the area is dry.
2. For the best repair, drill small holes into the wood, so the Hardener can get in deeper.
3. To make sure you don’t get any Hardener on your skin wear protective gloves.
4. If you’re inside make sure you open your doors and windows for ventilation.
5. Shake well before use.
6. Pour some of the Ronseal Wet Rot Wood Hardener into the plastic lid.
7. Apply with a paint brush. Make sure you get enough on, so that it completely soaks into the rotten wood.
8. Leave it to dry for 2 hours and then give it a scrub with a wire brush to get rid of any excess Hardener.
9. Fill the damaged area with High Performance Wood Filler. Then give the repair a good sand before painting, varnishing or staining over it.

Please note –

Clean up – Scrape as much Hardener off your tools as you can. Then clean them in white spirit.

Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.

Don’t pour any leftover Hardener down the drain or into watercourses. Your local authority may have special ways to get rid of unused products.

Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. IF INHALED: Call a POISON CENTER or doctor if you feel unwell. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice or attention.
