Liberon Ultra Fine 0000 Steel Wire Wool is a strong, thick, wide but very fine grade of wire wool ideal for applying our products including our waxes and polish reviver. As far as we are concerned, this is by far the best quality on the market.
Our 0000 grade wire wool applies our products evenly and easily to polished surfaces of wood. Applying polish reviver with our wire wool will remove any surface dirt, grime and dust without damaging the finish plus will make cleaning much easier and faster. It helps to get into awkward turnings, carvings and mouldings. Again applying our finishing wax with gentle pressure will give you a stunning finish.
When using our wire wool always work in the direction of the grain, with our products (wax, polish revive etc) applied directly onto the texture of the wire wool ensuring it is well absorbed. Wire wool is an extremely fine abrasive so if not carefully used and is too dry, will leave very fine scratches. Apply evenly with an open flat hand with mild pressure.
Our ultra fine wire wool is used not only on fine finishes but also ideal for cleaning metals such as brass, bronze, copper, steel etc.
Our wire wool is also ideal for cleaning antique glass.
It is not suitable for the removal of paints, varnishes and French polish surfaces or finishes, as this is ultra fine.
Important:
Wire wool can cause metal splinters, so gloves are recommended. Never tear with your hands, always use scissors to avoid cuts. It is a flammable material so avoid naked flame. Keep out of reach of children. Wire wool is an extremely fine abrasive, so if not carefully used and is too dry, it may leave very fine scratches.
