Osmo Natural Oil Wood Stain is a transparent, Satin or Matt wood finish based on natural oils for all wood in outdoor areas. It is ideal for all wood in outdoor areas such as doors, windows, shutters, carports, timber cladding, balconies, timber decking, fences, pergolas, garden furniture and summer houses. The Micro-porous surface allows the wood to breathe so reduces swelling and shrinkage. It creates a water-repellent, extremely weatherproof and UV-stable surface that will not crack, peel, flake or blister. No sanding is necessary, just simply recoat and no primer is needed, so easy and seamless application. The finish contains active ingredients for the protection of the coating against mould, algae and fungal attack and has proven itself for decades and under extreme climatic conditions.

- Allow to dry for approx. 4-6 hours under good ventilation, then apply a second coat.
- For renovation works, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.
Please note –
STORAGE – Up to 5 years and longer if can is kept dry and closed tightly. If thickened by frost, store for 24-36 hours at room temperature before use.
Clean tools with Osmo Brush Cleaner (free of aromatic compounds).
DRYING TIME Approx. 12 hours (normal climatic conditions, 23 °C/ 50 % rel. humidity). Lower temperatures and/or higher air humidity can increase the drying time. Ventilate well while drying.
DISPOSAL Dispose of leftover product and completely emptied packaging according to local official guidelines (waste code number 08 01 11). Only completely emptied cans can be recycled.
COVERAGE – 1 litre covers approx. 26 m² with one coat. Coverage depends significantly on the condition of the wood. All information refers to smooth and planed/ sanded surfaces. Other surfaces may lead to differences in coverage.
Transparent colours are influenced by the natural colour of the wood and therefore they may deviate from the sample colours. Light transparent colour tones offer only limited UV protection; therefore they are not recommended for surfaces exposed to strong sunlight. Dried surface is at first satin-glossy and then satin. To extend the life of the coating, it is recommended to apply one final top coat of Osmo UV Protection Oil Extra 420 Clear after thoroughly drying (not recommended for White 900).
Many wood species contain water-soluble coloured extractives which may leach out naturally when weathered. All colour tones can be mixed with each other. Starting from 2.5 litres per colour tone, available in 186 RAL Classic and 1950 NCS colour tones. Transparent finishes allow the substrate to shine through. Depending on the wood species, the appearance of the colour tone may deviate from the original RAL/NCS colour tone. Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is furnished with biocides and therefore it is only to be used in outdoor areas. The added active ingredients delay or minimize the risk of algae and fungal attack. For effective protection, two coats are to be carried out. In accordance with the latest technical research, permanent protection against algae and fungal attack cannot be provided.
