Liberon Black Patinating Wax

Description

Liberon Black Patinating Wax 250ml is used for adding a coloured finish, highlighting areas or creating striking special effects on all types of interior materials, especially wood. It is ideal for ageing modern furniture, disguising repairs to old and new furniture and highlighting areas on finished pieces or decorative carvings. It is suitable for use on wood, metal, gilt, plaster, stone, MDF and papier-mâché.

How to use Liberon Black Patinating Wax

1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from any previous finishes.

2. Wipe the Liberon Black Patinating Wax onto the surface with a cloth or brush and allow drying for two to three minutes before removing as much or as little of the excess as you wish with a clean lint-free cloth or Ultra Fine Steel Wool (Grade 0000).

3. To use the wax as a coloured finish on bare wood, work a thin coat into the wood with Ultra Fine Steel Wool (Grade 0000), allow to become touch dry and buff off the excess. Once dry the wax may be sealed with a wax, oil or polish.

Always test on a small area to ensure you are happy with the colour and results.

Liberon Black Patinating Wax comes in a 250ml tin and will cover approximately 8 – 12m². It is for use on interior only and you require a drying time of around 3 – 5 minutes. Apply using a brush, cloth or steel wool and can be cleaned back using White Spirit.

Harmful. Flammable. May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with skin. Do not empty into drains. Wear suitable gloves. Use only in well-ventilated areas. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting: seek medical advice immediately and show this container of label. Contains silice, suitable respiratory equipment is recommended when using sand paper on dry surfaces.
