How to Use Gold Size

1. Apply a thin, even layer of Gold Size to the clean, dry surface you want to gild using a small brush.
2. Gold Size will initially appear white. As it dries it changes to a purple shade before eventually becoming clear and transparent. This can take up to approximately 15 minutes.
3. Once the Gold Size has become clear and remains tacky, it is ready for metal leaf to be applied.
4. Carefully lay the metal leaf onto the sized area and gently smooth it into place. Remove any excess leaf using a soft, dry cloth or brush.
5. Wash brushes in water immediately after use.
