Rustins Satin Black – 250ml – Used on Wood & Metal

Description

Rustins Satin Black is a dense black paint based on water borne self cross-linking acrylic resin. It is used for all interior and exterior bare wood, hardboard, MDF, plaster, brickwork, cement and wrought iron. It can be used over existing wood and metal primers and over existing paints. It is quick drying and has excellent covering power. Satin Black contains special matting agents so that the paint dries with satin finish.

How to use Rustins Satin Black

1. Surfaces to be coated must be clean, dry and free from wax, grease and contaminants.
2. Fill holes and cracks with a quality Wood Filler.
3. Over existing paint, the surface must be cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key before application
4. STIR WELL BEFORE USE.
5. Apply liberally and evenly with synthetic fibre brush or roller.
6. 1 or 2 coats are required.
7. It will be touch dry within 30 minutes, depending upon temperature and humidity.
8. Re-coating Time will need a minimum of 2 hours depending upon temperature and humidity.

Please note
Application Temperature is Ideally, 15-25°C. Do not use below 10°C or in conditions of high humidity.
Do not store below 5°C and Protect from frost.
The coverage is approximately 12-14 sq. metres per litre, 1 coat, depending on the absorbency of the surface.
For maintenance, Clean painted surfaces with a mild detergent solution.
It may be applied over old existing coating provided these are in good condition and rubbed down to provide a key. May be applied over solvent and acrylic paint
Clean-Up Clean brushes and hands immediately after use with water. If dried on, clean equipment and brushes with Rustin’s Brush Restorer.

Always test in a small inconspicuous area first to ensure you are happy with the results.

Always wear protective gloves when using this product.

Health and Safety
Non-flammable. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser.
