What is the Best Furniture Spray Polish?

Furniture Spray Polish

Furniture Spray Polish comes in many different forms and by lots of different brands but how do you know what is the best for your furniture? This type of furniture polish comes in the aerosol tin so is easy to apply and use. Many more well known brands at the supermarket can come with silicone within the ingredients. This can actually damage the finish over time as silicone can cause a sticky finish and attract dust. Here is the full guide to the top 5 best furniture spray polish in the UK, tried and tested by ourselves.

1. Antiquax Original Wax Polish

Antiquax Original Wax Polish Aerosol

One of the best furniture sprays is Antiquax Original Wax Polish as it has been made using traditional waxes including carnauba and beeswax. This has been reinforced with a blend of hydrocarbon waxes to help application and improve the durability of the finish. This is perfect when it comes to using on vintage or antique furniture as the wax finish is silicone free and creates a soft mellow sheen. It is ideal for finishes hardwoods like Mahogany and Oak wood along with many others.

2. Lord Sheraton Furniture Spray Polish

Lord Sheraton Caretaker Furniture Polish Spray

Lord Sheraton Caretaker Furniture Polish is very popular as it leaves a lovely fragrance and again is silicone free. The pure beeswax has been mixed with a selection of natural rosemary, clove, Lavender and eucalyptus oils. This can leave a loving shine to your furniture and is ideal for use on modern woodwork around the home. This is the most reasonably priced product so it is a good cheap way of maintaining your furniture.

3. Lord Sheraton Leather Shine

Lord Sheraton Leather Shine

Lord Sheraton also offers a furniture spray for leather. Lord Sheraton Leather Shine is perfect to use for regular cleaning as it colours, restores dull leather to bring back to a nice loving shine. The Oils gently clean and nourish leather and removes dust and grime. This is a quick way of cleaning your leather without the manual buffing required with other cleaners. Again this is very reasonably priced for a good quality clean and polish. Using this on a regular basis will extend the life of your leather as it will keep it supple and help to prevent cracking.

4. Briwax Furniture Spray Polish

Briwax Spray Polish

Briwax Furniture Spray Polish is perfect for dry or even bare woods as it penetrates deep into the timber to create a waxed feel. It works best on dry pieces or furniture that has lost its shine over the years. It can also be used on all hardwoods so is a very useful cleaning spray that is very easy to use. As this is more of a wax finish, it can create a barrier to protect the wood and offer some resistance to moisture. It is a little pricey but a good quality product by an extremely good brand.

5. Stones Furniture Spray Polish

Stones Furniture Spray

Stones Furniture Spray Polish is also a rally good product, very similar to the Briwax spray. Again, it works well on hardwoods to create a nice sheen but can also be used on bare timber to create a waxed finish. It does not contain silicone so is not harmful to wood. It is a little pricier to the others but is a very good quality spray polish and has been made using a traditional formula. If it was not for the price, this would be a lot higher up the list but sometimes it does pay to get a better quality product.

Furniture spray polishes are easy to use and good for maintenance, dusting and cleaning but in my opinion it is not as good as using a traditional bees wax furniture polish in a paste form. The paste form is thicker so adds better protection but it does take a lot longer to apply and is a lot harder to buff up to a sheen. If you do not have the time to use the more traditional wax then the aerosol spray is probably best.
