Cleaning and Maintenance
Once your surfaces have been treated with Osmo Wood Wax Extra Thin 1101, it is recommended to use the surface as little as possible for around 1 week to fully cure. It is not recommended to regular household cleaners as they are not designed to clean oiled wooden surfaces and can damage them over time. Remove dust and dirt by vacuum cleaner or broom. For regular daily cleaning, it is recommended to use Osmo Spray Cleaner as this will clean your wooden surfaces without removing any oils and waxes, so will not dry the wood out. This will also remove many minor marks. It is also recommended to dust on a regular basis using a plain lint free cloth. If you accidentally scratch or damage the finish, you can either lightly sand the affected area and re-apply the same wood oil that you originally used. For lighter marks or scuffs, this can usually be cleaned by using Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner. If you want to renovate any worn surface then you can lightly sand and re-apply or use Osmo Intensive Cleaner to clean the surface ready for re-application. ensure fully dry and re-apply osmo wood wax extra thin in even coats. Always test a small area for suitability.

Questions and Answers
Can Osmo Wood Wax Finish clear extra thin be used on Rosewood?
Many wood oils can be difficult to absorb on certain woods like Rosewood. Osmo wood wax finish clear extra thin is one of the only wood oils specially designed for sealing oily woods like Rosewood, Iroko, Mahogany and Teak. It is often used on veneered furniture also. It is necessary to remove all previous old finishes / wax but after correct preparation work you can get really good results. It is always best to apply this wood oil with a lint free cloth or easy pad (not brush) sparingly in the direction of the grain of the wood.
How long does Osmo Wood Wax Extra Thin (1101) take to dry?
This will really depend on the type of wood you are working on and the room temperature but on average it will take around 12 hours to become touch dry but I would allow around 7 – 14 days before it is fully cured for regular use. Always apply in warm dry conditions for best results.
Does Osmo Wood Wax Extra Thin come in tinted colours?
No, this wood wax only comes in a clear. For tinted colours please see our listing here, although the tinted version is not extra thin, so you are unable to use on as many woods.

Ru (verified owner) –
The finish of osmo thin on a mahogany floor is very nice, light bits of furniture can slide under their own momentum on this floor. Quite easy to apply and though it seems expensive the coverage is large, I estimate 26m2 for 750ml. I didn’t sand carefully enough to get the perfect finish so be mindful of that, but I’m very pleased with it. Great service from Priory Polishes, fast delivery by Royal Mail
