Capability Green Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan is a warm, natural green inspired by the beauty of the English landscape. You can use this shade to bring the soothing qualities of the outdoors to indoors. Capability Greens name is a nod to the lush gardens of the 18th Century English landscape gardener Lancelot “Capability” Brown, who remains to this day the most celebrated English gardener. His greatest works merged the rolling landscape of untamed country parks with flower gardens and walls. Capability Green is gentle and soothing to the eye and this shade works well with most other colours in the palette, but particularly well as a neutral base alongside blues, pinks and yellows.

Capability Green has been especially developed alongside Annie Sloan’s friends at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to celebrate the great English outdoors.

• For best results apply the paint with either a chalk paint brush or flat brush.
• Once you have finished painting, we always recommend using either an Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Wax or chalk paint Lacquer to seal and finish. Apply with a wax brush or soft cloth.
• You can use a Sanding pad to smooth the paint or create an aged effect.
• Please be aware that the colour shades may look different on your computer screen to real life. For a true representative we strongly advise to use the hand painted colour card.
• We offer all paints in either a 120 ml tester pot or 1 litre tins.
• A one litre tin will cover approximately 13 square metres.
