Liberon Colour Enhancer Stone Floor Sealer is an oil-based stone floor sealer designed to feed, seal and protect porous interior stone flooring while enhancing its natural colour. Ideal for terracotta, slate, York stone, quarry tiles and many other porous natural and man-made stone surfaces.

Made from a linseed oil base, this colour-enhancing stone sealer helps make floors resistant to water, drink and food spillages while reducing dusting and crumbling. The 1 Litre tin covers approximately 10–15m², depending on the porosity of the stone.

What is Liberon Colour Enhancer Stone Floor Sealer?

Liberon Colour Enhancer Stone Floor Sealer is an oil-based sealer for porous interior stone floors. It penetrates the stone to help protect against water, drink and food spillages while bringing out the natural colour and character of the surface.

Unlike a non-colouring stone floor sealer, this colour-enhancing formulation gives the stone a richer, warmer appearance. It is particularly suitable when you want to protect a porous stone floor while enhancing its natural tones.

The number of coats required will depend on how porous the stone is. Very porous surfaces may require several coats to achieve adequate protection.

How to Use Liberon Colour Enhancer Stone Floor Sealer

Check if the Floor Requires Sealing

Before applying the sealer, place several drops of water onto the stone and leave for approximately 10 minutes. If the water is absorbed into the stone, the surface requires sealing.

Prepare the Surface

The floor must be clean and thoroughly dry before sealing. If required, clean the surface with Liberon Stone Floor Cleaner, rinse thoroughly and allow the floor to dry completely.

Apply the Stone Floor Sealer

1. Shake the tin well before use.
2. Apply Liberon Colour Enhancer Stone Floor Sealer using a brush or lint-free cotton cloth.
3. Allow the sealer to penetrate the stone for approximately 10 minutes.
4. Remove any excess sealer with a clean lint-free cotton cloth.
5. Allow to dry for a minimum of 8 hours.
6. Carry out the water-drop test again. Leave a small amount of water on the surface for 10–15 minutes. If the water remains on the surface, the stone is sufficiently sealed. If it is absorbed, further coats are required.

On very porous stone, several coats may be applied as required. Always allow the previous application to dry sufficiently before continuing.

Finishing the Sealed Stone Floor

Once the stone has been properly sealed, it can be finished with Liberon Stone Floor Wax for a traditional protected finish, or Liberon Stone Floor Shine for a more durable floor finish with added sheen.

The choice of finish will depend on the appearance and level of protection required.

Cleaning & Maintenance

Once complete, use Liberon Stone Floor Shine regularly to help protect and condition the floor and maintain the finished appearance.

The water-drop test can also be used periodically to check whether the stone remains adequately sealed. Reapplication of sealer may be required depending on the condition and porosity of the stone.

Please Note

• Always test the product on a spare piece of stone or an inconspicuous area before full application.
• Oil finishes enhance the natural colour of stone. A wet surface gives an indication of the final colour.
• The number of coats required depends on the porosity of the stone.
• This product is intended for interior stone flooring.
• Liberon Colour Enhancer Stone Floor Sealer may dissolve bitumen-based adhesives.
• Oily cloths can self-combust. Do not leave impregnated cloths in bundles. Lay them flat to dry outside before disposal.

Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with skin. Wear suitable protective gloves. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Do not empty product or residues into drains. Keep away from sources of ignition. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical advice immediately and show the container or label.
