Description
Antiquax Marble Wax is a high-quality fragranced wax polish specially formulated for polished marble, slate and stone surfaces. It contains premium performance waxes including carnauba wax and beeswax, reinforced with hydrocarbon waxes to aid application and improve durability.
The colourless wax helps clean and enhance polished stone without affecting the colour of the surface. It can help remove general contamination including dust, dirt, oils and nicotine, while restoring the natural lustre of polished marble and stone.
Once buffed, Antiquax Marble Wax leaves a durable wax finish that can be polished to a high level of sheen. It is also silicone free.

How to use Antiquax Marble Wax
Before applying Antiquax Marble Wax, make sure the marble, slate or stone surface is clean and completely dry.
- Apply a small amount of Antiquax Marble Wax sparingly using a Lint-Free soft cloth.
- Work the wax into the surface using a circular motion.
- Allow the wax to dry to a light haze.
- Remove the haze by polishing with a clean, dry cloth using a circular motion.
- Continue buffing until the desired level of sheen is achieved.
- Re-apply when required to maintain the finish.
One application should normally be sufficient. If another application is required, it can be applied after a few minutes once the previous coat has been buffed.
Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure that the product is suitable for the particular surface.
Where can Antiquax Marble Wax be used?
Antiquax Marble Wax is suitable for polished marble, slate and polished stone. It can be used on a variety of interior stone surfaces, including:
- Marble fireplaces
- Marble fireplace surrounds
- Marble hearths
- Polished marble furniture
- Polished stone surfaces
- Slate surfaces
- Decorative stone
- Other suitable polished stone surfaces
The product is particularly useful where you want to refresh a dull polished stone surface and restore its lustre while adding a durable wax finish.
Using Antiquax Marble Wax on fireplaces
Antiquax Marble Wax can be used to clean and polish suitable polished marble fireplaces and fireplace surrounds. It can help remove everyday dirt and grime while leaving a protective wax layer that can be buffed to a high sheen.
For the best results, make sure the marble is completely cool, clean and dry before applying the wax. Work with a soft cloth and apply only a small amount at a time.
Because wax can increase surface slip, take care when using the product on areas where increased slipperiness could present a hazard. Avoiding use where increased surface slip is likely to be hazardous.

Yes. The product is specifically designed for polished slate as well as polished marble and stone. If you are looking to blacken slate, then we do offer Priory Polishes Slate Blacking.
Does Marble Wax change the colour of marble?
No. The wax is colourless and is designed not to affect the colour of the surface to which it is applied.
Can Antiquax Marble Wax remove stains?
It helps remove general surface contamination including oils, nicotine, dust and dirt. It is a wax polish rather than a specialist stain-removal treatment, so particularly severe or deeply absorbed staining may require a dedicated stone cleaner.
How do you apply Antiquax Marble Wax?
Apply the wax sparingly with a soft cloth using a circular motion. Allow it to dry to a light haze, then buff with a clean, dry cloth until the desired sheen is achieved.
Can Antiquax Marble Wax be buffed to a high shine?

How often should I apply Antiquax Marble Wax?
One application should normally be sufficient. Re-apply when necessary to maintain the appearance and protection of the polished stone.
Does Marble Wax increase surface slipperiness?
Yes. The product can increase surface slip. It should therefore not be used where increased slipperiness could create a hazard, particularly on surfaces that may become slippery underfoot.
What temperature should Marble Wax be applied at?

Important: Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first. Wear protective gloves when using the product. Keep the container tightly closed, out of reach of children and away from sources of ignition. No smoking.
