Rustins Gold Paint – 250ml

Description

Rustins Gold Paint is Quick Drying and based on a high-quality water-borne, cross-linking acrylic resin. It is a gloss gold effect paint that can be used on wood, metal and both interior and exterior surfaces. The maximum heat resistance is approximately 105°C. It is touch dry in only 2 hours. May be applied to wood, metal, plaster and over painted surfaces.

How to use Rustins Gold Paint

1. The surface to be painted must be clean, dry and free from grease and wax. If applying to metal, remove as much rust as possible by scraping or with a wire brush. If any rust remains, it may be removed with Rustins Rust Remover.
2. The paint can be applied to bare wood and metal but for best results, apply Rustin Quick Drying Primer/Undercoat to wood or Rustins Red Oxide Metal Primer to bare metal.
3. Stir well before use until there is no sediment in the bottom of the can.
4. Apply liberally with a synthetic fibre bristle brush.
5. Two coats will provide adequate coverage, but three coats are recommended for improved durability.
6. The paint will be touch dry in approximately 30 minutes depending upon the temperature and humidity and can be re-coated after a minimum of two hours. Do not use below 10°C, in damp conditions or if rain is imminent.

Please note –

STIR THOROUGHLY BEFORE USE.

250ml will cover approximately 3-3.5 sq m per coat.

Clean brushes immediately after use with water.

Hard brushes may be cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer.

Storage – Store in a cool dry place with the lid tightly closed. May be stored for many years if stored in original, tightly closed container.

Protect from frost.

Application Temp. Ideally 10-25 °C. Do not use in conditions of high humidity and very low temperature.

Maintenance – Clean surfaces with a mild detergent solution. Worn areas may be re-coated once cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key.

Not for use on oil filled radiators.

Not suitable for use on wood burning stoves or on surfaces which are in direct contact with a naked flame. If being used on metal surfaces for decorative purposes only, the metal can be applied with Rustins Red Oxide Metal Primer before coating.

May produce an allergic reaction. Keep out of reach of children. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wear protective gloves and eye protection. IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTRE or doctor if you feel unwell. IF ON SKIN: Gently wash with plenty of soap and water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
