Rustins Quick Dry Radiator Paint – 250ml – Satin or Gloss Finish

Description

Rustins Quick Dry Radiator Paint is available in Gloss or Satin finish. It has been formulated with a non-yellowing, heat-resistant alkyd and used on all central heating, hot water radiators, but not oil filled radiators. It is also suitable for use on wood.

How to use Rustins Quick Dry Radiator Paint

1. The surface must be clean, smooth, sound, dry and free from wax, dust and contaminates.
2. If the radiator is new and factory primed, apply 1 coat of Rustins White Oil-based undercoat before applying the radiator paint.
3. Radiators stripped to bare metal should be given one coat of Rustins Red Oxide Metal Primer and one coat of oil based white undercoat or Rustins Quick Dry White Primer/Undercoat.
4. If oil-based undercoat is used leave for 24 hours.
5. Apply the radiator paint using a good quality brush and apply evenly to cold radiators.
6. One coat is usually sufficient.
7. If a second coat is necessary, leave first coat for 24 hours or turn on full heat for 4 hours once touch dry.

Please note
Not to be used on oil filled electric radiators.
The application Temperature is Ideally 15-25°C.
Do not use below 5°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Coverage Approx. 3.25 sq. metres or 35 sq. ft per 250ml tin.
The surface may be cleaned with a mild detergent solution or White Spirit as necessary.
Worn areas may be re-coated once cleaned and lightly sanded to provide a key.
Do not apply over emulsion paint or directly to factory primed radiators.
Store in the original tightly closed container, in cool dry conditions.
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser.
Do not use solvent or White Spirit
Clean brushes whilst wet with Rustins Brush Cleaner. Remove excess product from brushes before cleaning. Hard brushes can be cleaned with Rustins Brush Restorer.

Health and safety
Flammable. Keep out of reach of children. Use only in well ventilated areas. Keep away from sources of ignition – no smoking. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
