Renaissance Wax Polish can be used on a wide range of materials and is very easy to use. Not only can it be used on wood surfaces, It is used to conserve metal and prevent tarnishing. It is widely used by antique restorers, museums, art galleries worldwide.

How to use Renaissance Wax

Renaissance wax polish should be applied evenly and in thin layers, and then buffed to a nice sheen. The wax film is clear, with no discoloration, ideal to enhance the grain of the wood. Renaissance wax polish will protect any existing finish or can be used on bare, unfinished wood. Several coats can be applied to enhance and deepen the lustre of the wood.

Important Always test a small, discreet area to ensure that the wax is suitable for use. The amount of coats needed may vary, depending on the condition of the surface you are applying to.

Can you buff Renaissance Wax?

Yes, once applied simply buff off with a lint free wax buffing cloth. If you get finger marks on the wax when applying or whilst it is still not fully dry, simply buff them out. As it is a tough wax when dry, simply buff when it becomes dull and re-apply when necessary.

Does Renaissance Wax prevent tarnish on Metal?

Yes, this was will prevent tarnish and corrosion on Metal and it is very high resistance to moisture. It forms a protective barrier on the metal to create a durable protective finish.

Can Renaissance Wax be removed?

Yes, this is easily done by using white spirit. Simply apply white spirit to a cloth and rub off the wax.
