How to Use Versailles Chalk Paint

For best results, apply Annie Sloan Versailles Chalk Paint with a Chalk Paint Brush or Flat Brush. Chalk Paint can be applied to a wide range of surfaces without extensive preparation, making it particularly useful for furniture painting and upcycling.

Versailles can be used as a single colour to create a soft, sophisticated finish or combined with other Chalk Paint colours to change the overall character of the piece.

It works particularly well on cupboards, dressers, tables, chairs and sideboards. On antique or traditional furniture, its soft yellow-green tone can highlight mouldings and decorative details without overpowering them.

For a vintage or aged appearance, allow the paint to dry and then lightly sand selected areas around edges, corners and decorative details. This creates gentle wear and can give furniture a more naturally aged appearance.
