Description
Rustins Plastic Wood is a quick drying filler available in Natural, Oak and Teak. It is waterproof and suitable for interior or exterior use. When it is dry it will take screws and nails. It is ideal for repairing mouldings, broken edges, filling cracks and holes. When dry will take screws, nails, it can be cut, filed, drilled and planed. It can also be used on wood, metal and stone.
How to use Rustins Plastic Wood
1. The surface must be cleaned and dry and for best adhesion slightly roughened.
2. Apply in thin layers with applicator or filling knife.
3. When hard apply further layers, making sure that the final application has is higher than the surrounding area.
4. When plastic wood has hardened, sand smooth
5. It usually takes around 4 – 6 hours to fully dry but for deep holes it may take longer. Do not re-coat until previous application is fully dry.
Please note –
The application temperature is ideally between 15-25°C.
Do not use below 5°C, or in conditions of high humidity.
Please be aware that when stained, colour may vary from surrounding wood.
Clean tools with Cellulose Thinners.
Do not use solvent or White Spirit.
Always test in a small inconspicuous area first to ensure you are happy with the results.
Always wear protective gloves when using this product.
Health and Safety
Highly Flammable. Keep out of reach of children. Use only in well ventilated areas. Keep away from sources of ignition – no smoking. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water or a proprietary skin cleanser.
