Hard Wax Filler Sticks create a robust repair and come in a variety of colours. This is ideal for larger areas that need filling or to disguise damaged surfaces. Hard Wax Filler Sticks are used to repair scratches, edge damage, holes and damage to floors, furniture or antiques. The hard wax filler stick is melted into the area using a heating iron and once dry, remove the excess with a Special Applicator Tool. This tool can be used to remove the excess and buff in the wax. The wax can also be intermixed to help colour match. If used correctly, once buffed it can make almost invisible repairs. We also offer a black touch up grain pen.

How to use Hard Wax Filler Sticks

1. Remove all loose particles on the wood.
2. On wood surfaces press damage edges round.
3. Touch up the damaged area with wood dye if necessary.
4. Use heat to melt the Hard Wax Filler Sticks into the damaged area. Several colours may be needed to mix and create a suitable colour.
5. Remove excess wax with the Applicator tool. Use the serrated edge to remove and level excess hard wax. Use the abrasive pads for smoothing/sanding the wax to create a more finished surface.
6. The grain may painted back into the repair using a black touch up grain pen.
