Polyvine Multi-Surface Lacquer

Description

Polyvine Multi-Surface Lacquer is a robust and crystal-clear Interior or exterior lacquer that is available in a dead flat or Satin finish. This ultra hard, durable, fast-drying high-quality lacquer has extremely good sanding properties and is specially formulated to bond to a wide range of surfaces, including metal, laminate, wood, timber, tile, ceramic, glass and plastics. It can also be used as a multi-surface primer and is relied upon by professional and amateur decorators for its durability and ease of use.

How to use Polyvine Multi-Surface Lacquer

1. Ensure the surface to be coated is clean and free from grease, wax or polish. All surfaces must be clean and free from dust, dirt, oil and contamination.
2. On Timber – remove oils/resins from oily hardwoods and resinous softwoods. Sand to a smooth finish and remove all dust.
3. Ensure the product is well mixed but do not shake.
4. Use a good quality synthetic varnish brush and apply evenly using light brush strokes.
5. Apply the first coat and allow to dry.
6. To prime porous surfaces, dilute with 10% water.
7. Apply one or two further coats.

Please note –

Always apply to a test area before starting work.

Do not apply over uncured oil-based paint.

When applied over emulsion/latex paint, it is possible that the lacquer can draw certain stains through the paint, which would not otherwise be visible.

Test finish for adhesion.

Do not apply over uncured oils.

Do not use on uncoated exterior timber

COVERAGE – Approx. 15-20 sq. m per litre.

CLEAN UP – Any equipment used can be cleaned using soap and water before the coating dries. Wipe any excess off surfaces with a damp cloth. Any dried deposits will need a paint stripper to remove them.

Drying time – 1 to 2 Hours @ 20°C / 70°F Low temperature/high humidity increases drying time.

Cure Time – Up to 5 days @ 20°C / 70°F

Recoat Time – Up to 2 Hours @ 20°C / 70°F

Hardness: Highly Durable, Cross Linked

STORAGE – Store in unopened containers in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. storage Protect from extremes of temperature

Health and safety

Non-hazardous. Ensure good ventilation. Keep out of reach of children. Contact with eyes-wash immediately with warm water. Remove excess from tools and mixing vessels before washing in warm soapy water. Do not empty containers into drains or watercourses.
