How to use Curator Rusting Solution

1. Thoroughly remove and clean any grease or oil from the item to be rusted.
2. Apply Curator Rusting Solution by brush, cloth or immersion.
3. Solution may be applied neat, or diluted with up to 10 parts water.
4. Leave the item overnight, when a film of rust should have coated the item.
5. For a greater depth of rust, repeat the process again if necessary.
6. On completion, seal in the ‘rust’ with a coating of wax or lacquer if required. Without this procedure the rust will come off with handling.
