How to use Curator Black LPS Antiquing Fluid
- Remove any metal lacquer using paint stripper first.
- Thoroughly remove and clean any grease or oil, including fingerprints with Curator Cold Patination Pre-Treatment, and wipe dry.
- Proper preparation of the surface is essential.
- for best results, Dilute with Curator Black LPS Antiquing Fluid with 10 parts water and apply by immersion or tumbling in a barrel. This process will produce a black oxide coating wherever the solution is in contact with the surface to be treated and ensure a uniform colour change.
- Process times are as required but are usually between 1 – 5 minutes when used at room temperature.

- Rinse thoroughly with clean running water and dry by use of hot water rinsing and leave to drain.
